About
In 1999, the Stoneham Veterans Committee launched what was then the first and only 11K road race in the country to be held annually on November 11. After a decade, the event was retired before being revived in 2015 with the addition of a 5K distance.
Now a longstanding Stoneham tradition, the Veterans Day Run welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities as part of the Town’s annual Veterans Day observance. The race encourages people to make Veterans Day more than simply a day off by bringing the community together to honor and support local service members, veterans and their families. All race proceeds benefit local veteran services.
All registered participants before October 28 are guaranteed a race shirt. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers.
The Stoneham Veterans Day Run is offered to veterans and active military members at no cost. For more information on how to register, please contact Megan Day emailing megankday@gmail.com or calling 617-548-7721.
